All right everyone, I have HAD IT. I've tried to be patient, logical, and peace-loving, trying to keep dA a happy place, but nothing seems to be working, and I'm fed up with it!
I seriously can't even write a chapter of my fanfiction, all of this hatred and backtalk and arguing and such is just so discouraging!!! It isn't even that I may have to change the preview image, it's the war that has been started!!!!!
For one, I feel harassed. And I'm sure people on the other side have similar feelings. But I'm not here to say that right now.
I do not appreciate the hateful and disrespectful comments that I have found on my journal entry and on my fan fiction! From BOTH sides! Let's just leave each other alone, yeah? Arguing only feeds the problem, not resolving it. On top of that, it's childish! Let's be adults here. Opinions on both sides clearly differ way too much, and even for the few compromise-rs that I have found out there aren't being accepted by either side (including myself, though everyone seems to have such strong feelings towards me that any sign of compromise is thrown into the wind as a hateful comment). Listen, I have done what I have done, submitted my own ticket inquiry regarding the image, and the admins will eventually get back to me. So let's all just wait for the official answer and stop. getting. at. each. other's. throats. The official word will settle this, no matter how long it takes. Take into mind that either side may be completely wrong, or both of us may be somehow wrong! The word of the admins will be the final word. No ifs, ands, or buts. Let us wait for the word. Patience is a lovely virtue. Until then, let's all just keep our opinions to ourselves, yeah?
Listen, I really appreciate the defense and support that I am getting from a lot of you. I really, sincerely do. But please don't go hating on the people who share a different opinion. They feel that they are doing the right thing, and I respect that they are standing by their values. The same goes for you guys on the other side. Can't we all just get along? We're all artists here, though our media used may be different. We're all on this website, even though we may be scattered across the globe. As Thumper once said, "If you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say anything at all." Even if it sounds nice to you in your head, it may not to the person that you are sending the message to. So please. Settle down, everyone, and stop feeding the flame. Enough with the name-calling, enough with the sarcasm, enough enough enough!
Let's all just keep on creating beautiful pieces of art for the world to see, yeah? The world needs more color, more wonder and beauty, not more petty wars (sounding like a complete hippy, she said). We artists must stick together, for without the appreciation of another fellow artist, what are we? Sure, people can appreciate a little art, but it takes one artist to truly and fully appreciate the work of another. If you do not appreciate an artwork because it goes against your values or something, then just don't look at it. Leave it be, for one man's trash is another man's treasure. If you don't treasure it, there are other people out there who will. Don't ruin it for those people who will. Respect one another's different opinions. Sure, go on, I have no problem with you guys peacefully exchanging opinions. I encourage it so that way there is more understanding in the world, we need more of that. My issue is when you start attacking other people, myself included, or start using heated and laden language. GOING FOR THE BOTH OF YOU.
Phew. Now that I have THAT out of my system...
I just...please. No hateful comments. All of us just need to stop. I write this journal in hopes that it will halt it and that we can ALL just go back to doing whatever we were doing before it all started as we patiently wait for the admins.
I just want to write, to draw, to do what I love, as I'm sure that all of you want to do as well.
I just want to sit back and watch the eternal snowflakes fall gently from the sky.
So let's just wait to hear what the administrators say.
