Gentle Snowfall

Journal Entry: Fri Jan 11, 2013, 7:30 PM
All right. Awesome story time.

It's been incredibly windy for the past couple of days (it doesn't ever snow, though :(). While I was visiting my old house, I took my dog out for a walk up the hill to do his business. It was nighttime. First off, I nearly tripped and fell over what sounded and felt like a long thin tree branch. I looked back and saw nothing. Continuing onward, the wind was blowing pretty hard. It was brisk and exceptionally cold. I began to talk to Jack, knowing that he was behind all of this (as I usually do when a sudden cold wind blows or something along those lines...yeah, I talk to Jack a lot x3). The moment I uttered, "Jack Frost, it's you there, isn't it?" the wind blew so hard that I almost fell over. My dog perked his ears up, but soon went back to doing his own thing. I continued talking to Jack. Then, out of nowhere, my dog starts staring at something up the hill. He's not one to bark unless he knows it's someone/thing dangerous or threatening. Curious but expecting it to be one of those times that dogs just randomly stare at absolutely nothing, I looked up to see what he was staring at. I then saw a blur of bright white and vibrant icy blue up the hill from me, dashing into the bushes from its place it once held in the middle of the road. I laughed and said my hello to Jack. The wind picked up in response. I spread out my arms on the way back down the hill, and the wind blew harder, nipping at my face, seeming to enjoy being enjoyed. I felt like a presence was smiling along with me, loving being believed in. I laughed and had so much fun with it until I had to go back inside. All in all, I believe I caught sight of Jack Frost, though he was perhaps too shy and reluctant to truly reveal himself to me.  I have a feeling that it's more that he was playing a mischievous game with me. Yeah, now that I think about it, the latter seems more probable.

Ah, I love having unnaturally cold hands. x3

ANYWAY. Update part of this journal. I'm currently writing Chapter 33, so it'll be out in a few hours once I decide to stop getting distracted. I have made significant progress on my knitting project. That meme is begging to be completed in the next couple of days.

On a completely unrelated note, I finally got my Treasure Planet fixing that I've been wanting to have for a while. Guy, I love that movie.
ISN'T THIS JOURNAL SKIN GORGEOUS. THE CREATOR DID AN AMAZING JOB. PROPS.

See you in a bit!

NOW THAT was an awesome story indeed! Goodness you, how lucky that Jack came over for a visit - he must've heard about the wonderful story you write about him and couldn't resist finding out more about the writer ;) I could kinda imagine it to be scary at one hand, but on the other so awesome to have sort of 'definite' proof of Jackie's existance. Please do keep us updated would he ever come by again :giggle: Jack also did some stuff for me here! I was complaining all week some time ago that we were having such a soggy winter. Right that day my mom told me the weather forecast siad that next (this) week it would become colder and even snow from Sunday on! Friday night was already quite chilly so my windows were all foggy, and I wrote down 'Jack Frost'. Next morning I open my eyes... to a snowy white world - a full two days before real snowfall was expected ♥

I start babbling on and on to Jack once in a while, and once I accidentaly said "Sheesh, SOMEONE'S cranky." out loud at my bus stop, as it was quite bitterly-windy that day, and people stared at me. XDXD I also thanked him for the white Christmas we got over here this year :)

oh, just about anything and everything on my mind sometimes. Other times, it's me complimenting his work, thanking him for the cold or whatnot, things like that.
