Everlasting Snow: Chapter 37
A cough startles you.
Someone clearing their throat.
It came from Jack.
You remove your head from his shoulder and look up at him questioningly.
His cheeks are flushed a bright red color, contrasting the pale whiteness of his skin. He’s still staring out over the city.
You sit up properly, his arm falling from you.
“Jack?” you ask, concerned. “Is everything okay?”
He nods, his snowy hair shining slightly in the light, the silver in it emphasized as moonbeams weave in and out of the strands, dancing amongst them.
“I, uh,” he chokes out. He’s obviously nervous about something.
“I…have something to tell you,” he finally manages to say.
You raise your eyebrow. “Yes?” you say, curious. Is there something else about Jack Frost and his extraordinary abilities that you don’t yet know? Maybe it’s a deep, dark secret. Does he really know about your secret conversation with the moon and just didn’t sa
Everlasting Snow: Chapter 39
You’re experiencing some serious déjà vu.
Jack Frost is once again in your living room, lying on your couch, completely unconscious.
Except this time, you know who he is and for a fact that he’s extremely ill. Though with exactly what, you’re not sure.
And there’s no curiosity here. Just fear and panic for the one you love.
You lift off the damp wash towel that you have resting on his forehead. It needs to be changed.
You lay your free hand on his head, checking his temperature.
He’s still burning up, the same temperature from the last time you had checked it. He’s far too warm even for a regular human, let alone for the spirit of winter.
His cheeks are flushed a deep red to match the fever. His lips are parted, each of his breaths shuddering and strained. They’re so infrequent sometimes that you will anxiously rest your ear on his chest, listening for his faint heartbeat as your own races.
You refresh the cold towel and place it back on
Everlasting Snow: Chapter 9
You’re screaming at the top of your lungs.
You had no idea that a storage bin lid on snow could travel so quickly.
Still facing backwards, you and your lid take a sudden right turn, narrowly missing what could have been a very gnarly crash into your neighbor’s house. You have a death grip on the edges of your “sled,” trying to turn around and avoid a trip to the hospital. You’re going way too fast for you to just put your legs out to stop yourself or to just bail. Nope, you’re stuck where you are.
All of a sudden, you feel a blast of cold wind.
Jack Frost is there, following you, flying parallel to the ground, his face only inches from yours as you continue to sled.
“Miss me?” He jokes, smiling widely.
Forgetting your predicament, you focus on him, lightly blushing from his proximity. “Where did you go?” you yell over the wind.
He jerks his head over you as if indicating something up ahead (or rather, behind you).
Everlasting Snow: Chapter 44
You finally figure out why he really gives you the creeps.
No, it isn’t because of his height. Nothing about his outer physical appearance, really.
Nor is it his immense power.
Or the memories of your childhood and the fears he rekindles.
No…it’s because, even though you know he’s standing right behind you, he gives off no presence, like most living things do.
It’s as if you’re standing with your back to a giant void.
It sends that sixth-sense chill down your spine.
And that scares you.
Nevertheless, you don’t try to fight or break away. You need to hear what he has to say, to listen closely to what needs to be done to help Jack.
“What do I have to do?” you ask, trying to steady your shaking voice.
“It’s quite simple, really,” he says. You can practically hear the smile on his face. He’s winning, and he knows it. “Give him to me, and I’ll fix him right up. You can’t ta

It’s exactly as you remember it.
The soft light caresses your cheeks, a homely warmth engulfing your body, bearing an instant calming effect on you.
You take a quick survey of the place, shutting the door behind you.
Just like last time, the mysterious shopkeeper is nowhere to be seen.
But that means more freedom to really take a look around.
So you begin to do just that.
There are the rows of practical joke props, the racks of clothing (now featuring some more springtime fashions), the clear-door refrigerator stocked with drinks together and a wide variety of foods, the selection of odd knickknacks sitting on countertops and hanging from hooks.
You take interest in a small selection of trinkets and jewelry sitting patiently beside the clothing section.
None of them look manufactured. Not even in the least. Each looks carefully created, hours upon hours, thought upon thought put into each one. A lot of them bear ancient Celtic designs or themes. Lines crisscross over one another,
Everlasting Snow: Chapter 50
They say that, if you are anticipating—if you are wanting—to go somewhere, then the trip seems much longer than it really is.
And the opposite applies for the alternate case.
That, when you are dreading your arrival, when you don’t want to be going somewhere, the trip to that somewhere gives off the impression of being far shorter than is reality.
This latter case applies a little too perfectly to you.
One moment you’re lifting off of your porch from dropping off your ice skates, the next you’re at the North Pole, the red double-doors looming in front of you.
You feel something squeeze your hand.
You look down at it to see Jack’s pale fingers entwined in yours, holding onto you tightly.
You follow the hand to the connected arm, trailing up until your gaze meets Jack’s.
He’s smiling softly at you, his eyes sad yet reassuring. He jerks his head toward the door as he begins to smirk, indicating that it’s time the two of y
Everlasting Snow: Chapter 52
The sleigh skids to a stop on the lake’s surface, the skis leaving long white marks on the ice.
Above you, the tired stars begin to fade as the first light of day breaks over the horizon, giving themselves over to sleep until the night returns to reign once again.
North scoops the limp Jack back up into his arms, and the three of you wordlessly disembark from the sleigh.
You follow North off the lake, trying hard not to fall on the slippery surface. You breathe a small sigh of relief as you step onto the snowy bank, then continue after North, forced to jog a little to keep up with his long strides.
He stops in front of a tall tree with a thick, sturdy trunk, its leaves and branches dusted with white snow. It’s quite a few yards from the lake’s edge, but its view goes uninterrupted by other foliage. He crouches down and sets Jack in front of it, sitting him down so his back is propped up against the trunk.
He really does look like he just nodded off, his head bowed, ar

Your hand meets cold, satiny skin.
The two of you are frozen there for a few seconds, you with your hand still in midair, Pitch with his face turned to the side. Your expressions are the same—sheer shock. He never it saw it coming. You never thought you had it in you. It just kind of happened. As if out of instinct, from the depths of your brain, an out-of-the-blue reaction to a sudden wave of anger. You immediately regret it.
You just slapped Pitch Black clear across the face.
An extremely powerful, dark being who towers over you.
Knowing that you have to go with it, you stretch out the same hand, your tingling palm upwards and towards the staff.
“Give it here, Pitch,” you shakily command the Nightmare king.
He snaps out of it, rubbing where you hit him with his spare hand. “More of a fighter than the last I saw you, but I'll forgive that for now,” he mumbles under his breath as his cold eyes lock on yours. He then speaks directly to you. “I kind of
Everlasting Snow: Chapter 64
Despite the battle that you know must be going on for Jamie—for the children of the world, for hope, joy, and light—you somehow manage to fall into a restless sleep.
Maybe it had something to do with that moonbeam that wiggled its way through the canopy of dark clouds and flooded directly into your bedroom.
The moment sleep takes you, you’re transported into the realm of dreams.
You’re standing in an entirely white space. So pure, so devoid of anything corrupt. It goes on endlessly, stretching onward for all eternity.
Not knowing what else to do, you walk forward, your footsteps echoing even though you’re barefoot.
Just when you begin to think that you’re absolutely alone, you feel a presence behind you.
You cautiously turn around, bracing yourself for anything.
Well, just about anything.
Because what you’re now facing completely throws you off.
Or rather, who.
He stands no taller than four feet high. He’s dressed like a gentleman,

Oh, how you’ve missed flying.
Feeling completely weightless as the wind envelops you, pushing you up and forward. Your hair whipping back, dancing in the wind. Your hand clasped in Jack’s, the odd yet wonderful cold backed by that deep, inner warmth spreading down your arm and through you as your cheeks and nose turn pink from the blasts of air as you travel at an incredible speed. The scenery blurred as it you race over it, treetops and roofs of houses uniting into flashes of uniform color, what few people there are looking like nothing but brief, tiny blips in radar.
You close your eyes for a bit, thoroughly enjoying the sensations.
The two of you make a quick pit stop back at your house so you can pick up your skates. Then you’re off again.
Before too long, you feel yourself descending as you arrive at the final destination.
It’s as if you never left it. It’s the same way as the last time you visited about a month ago. For that matter, it’s just a

A bit of tumbling and flashes of colors later, you’re standing in the grand fireplace room at the North Pole.
Well, kind of standing. You’re wobbling around a bit as you regain your balance, trying hard not to drop Jack.
You manage to successfully recover, now feeling pretty darn proud that you managed not to fall after emerging from the swirling magic portal.
You scan the room for North.
You don’t see him, but you hear his heavy booted footsteps to your right, getting louder the closer he gets.
The elves must have gone to get him once they saw the slightest sign of the portal opening up.
A few yetis and elves come and go, carrying on work as usual in the shop.
At first, North greets you with a wide, jolly smile. But then he sees the look of worry on your face, proceeded by Jack’s limp form on your back.
Just the sight of him makes you want to break down. To run into his big, comforting arms and cry your eyes out, telling him everything that’s been going o

“Orlaithe’s the real name,” he booms, holding out a large hand for you to shake, which you do as you tell him your own name.
“But you probably already knew that,” you say as you take back your hand. His wink in response confirms your suspicion.
“Orlaithe,” you think. Much less mainstream than “Liam” or something. In the back of your head, you recall the elves and their merry titles.
“Most of ‘em just call me Orl. Sounds like Earl but with an Irish flare. Better tan callin’ me Leppie or Leper,” he remarks, snorting in laughter at his own crude joke.
“So what’s going on with dear ol’ Jack?” he asks, returning to the snow globe.
Your feelings of happiness and wonder disappear, remembering your grave situation. “He’s really sick. Or something like that. I don’t know if I can say he’s ‘sick,’ but something is very wrong with him.” You

Just another day in your little town, Christmas had passed just over a week ago and as the new year rolled in, you couldn't help but think that spending New Year on your Tumblr dashboard was the best way to bring in the New Year, but, everyone was busy.
Your friends were invited to parties and your parent(s) were going out, even your eleven-year-old brother had been invited to his friend's house!
You sighed heavily, as you lay on your bed, staring up to the ceiling above, making patterns out of boredom, but thoughts trailed into your head, thoughts that could not be explained or given a straightforward answer.
“Bored.” You groan as you sit up, looking around your room with dullness, glancing over every individual object in your room which ranged from your cosy white jumper with red poka-dots on it that was incredibly warm and fluffy and looks great with a pair of pyjamas for a lazy day to your sketch book filled with doodles. You peeked from under your arms and looked at the boy sitting on the floor of your room. Your eyes followed the tennis ball he had been playing with for a while, watching it hit the floor and the wall before landing on Jamie's hand, the cycle repeating itself over and over with a steady rhythm. Your head hit the desk softly after a minute of silence, "Nope. You?"
The bouncing noise stopped, the muffled 'thump' of someone landing on your bed reaching you short afterwards "I think I'm actually going with Sophie's idea…"
You looked up at your cousin, leaning back on your chair and stretching your back (how long have you been sitting there?) "Really?"
"Yeah" He laughed a little and shrugged as much as he could while lying down "Why not? I think he'll like it."
You tried picturing the Easter Bunny wearing one of Sophie's designs –which were resting on a pile on the desk– and only managed to get yourself laughing "Yeah, he probably will." In a swi

For: (your name).
From: Jack Frost.
And a tiny drawing of a snowflake beside his name to complete his signature.
The tag—made of thick eggshell-white cardstock with a border of miniscule spindles of real frost—is captivating in itself.
It’s a small, semi-rectangular package, no larger than four inches long and three inches wide. It is wrapped carefully in snow-white wrapping paper with clear snowflakes decorating it, only visible as light reflects off of them, giving them life. A silk silver ribbon snugly embraces the package, ending in a small matching bow in the upper left-hand corner.
You turn to face Jack once again.
“How did you get the wrapping paper and stuff…?” you ask, entirely curious as to how an invisible spirit of winter can get his hands on material items.
He shrugs. “Found them in places where they wouldn’t be missed, then tweaked them a bit to give them my own personal flare. I used your tape.”
Do You Believe? ~ Ten (Jack Frost x Reader)Another scream echoed across the white snow, soon to be corrupted by darkness that seeped into its pure skin and polluted it, turning its glimmer and shine into a sea of ebony. Nightmares streamed across the snow, their hooves beating it savagely, sending clouds of snow into the air behind them as they stormed towards their target, saffron orbs set on the girl held in the arms of the newest Guardian, flying up towards the clouds.
"Frost..." A voice echoed through the fearlings, the distaste in its tone clear as night and day. The boy's involvement was not something the bringer of fear appreciated, and he would not forgive the winter spirit for taking away his weapon. The shadow King slammed his fist into a pillar of his lair, watching the preparation for the battle to come through the eyes of his fearlings.
"That boy always gets in my way. But not this time. Kill him." He ordered in a hushed whisper through gritted teeth, his eyes closed as he observed Jack Frost hold the weapon in his

The steam from the hot chocolate warms your face as you stare down into its brown depths, the warmth from the piping hot beverage heating up the palms of your cupped hands as they hold it up.
The golden base of the goblet rests patiently on your knees, which you have folded up to your chest in a makeshift table as you sit on the right side of the large window’s expansive ledge, nothing but a thin sheet of glass separating you and the artic scenery beyond.
Jangle sits a bit in front of your feet, staring up at you, concerned.
He’s the one who brought you the hot chocolate, waddling around a corner a few moments after Tooth had left you alone to the devices of the otherwise vacant hallway, the jingle bell on the top of his head softly chiming with each step.
You only took the goblet out of politeness. You really have no appetite right now.
Still, you’re thankful for the company. And the hot chocolate has helped you a little, its steam bearing a calming effect on you, pr

The Guardians all lift their heads, curiously staring at you.
“Please, just give me…one more day with him,” you plea, looking at each of them in turn.
After a quick consultation with the others, North returns to you. “We shall have to see how he is doing first.”
You nod and stand as he does.
Jangle bids you farewell as he rejoins the other elves.
You follow North through the building, trekking down long curving hallways, up a decorated stairwell or two—at which a white yeti with green eyes and a fire truck in its hands has to stand aside to let the group pass—and even through a couple of other rooms that just lead to more paths. It’s like the place is just asking to be explored, an adventure in itself. As if it was designed so even North wouldn’t know what was behind every door, always maintaining a sense of wonder and mystery. Despite that illusion, though, North didn’t get you guys lost, seemin

You woke up and found yourself in your room. You sat up slowly while touching your dizzy head and looked around. You don't remember arriving at your place but you do remember what happened last night.
You stood up and looked through your window and noticed that everything's normal, definitely maybe. You wiped your face and breathed deeply as you walk to the bathroom. You washed your face and brushed your teeth after.
While brushing your (length/color) hair, you heard a noise coming from downstairs. You abruptly grabbed something long and opened the door gently. As you walk down the stairs slowly, you peeked a little and saw the guardians in the living room.
"What are you all doing here?" you said in a low voice with troubled look written all over your face. North, holding a cookie, looked and smiled at you cheerfully.
Jack abruptly ran and gave you a big hug. You hugged him back but you still don't know why they're still in your house. I mean, you have

Pitch shoved (y/n) into a cage and dismissed the sand that bound her wrists.
“There now, you just stay here and reconsider my offer. I really don’t want to destroy you and have all your powers go to waste.” (y/n) didn’t say anything back, she rolled up in a tight ball and hid her face in her knees.
“Oh, and thank you for your assistance with getting rid of Jack, here’s a little something for your troubles.” (y/n) heard something hit the cage floor beside her, but didn’t lift her head.
“Hmph, you both are so stubborn. If you two would have agreed to join me, none of this would have been necessary, why, you two would be together forever, being believed in.”
“No, we would be feared, and that’s not what we want.”
“Isn’t it better to be feared then loved? Look where love got you, look where love got him! I suggest you put that useless emotion away if you wish to survive.” With that, Pitch left. (

"What have you done?" said Jack with a bit of fear in his voice.
You lifted your weapon and pointed at the winter spirit. "Now you…" you said coldly.
"Please…." Jack begged but you still continued to walk towards him. "This is not you." he added.
Jack stared at you as you walk to him. You attacked him but he gripped your weapons and didn't care even if he's wounded.
"I don't care…" you said coldly.
You looked at the blood on your gloves and suddenly your eyes widened and looked at the young guardian. Jack's staff and you gloves glowed and made you think. Your whole body froze and tried to free your weapons but when you heard the young guardian yelled with pain while holding it, your heart sore and you can feel tears, real tears in your eyes.
"Fight it (F/n)," he said softly, "please…" he said and cried.
Your right eye suddenly turned into your normal color but it's rather obvious that you're not completely controlling your bo

All of the guardians got surprised about Jack Frost's new look. North keep looking at the young guardian's hair since he arrived and the Tooth fairy keeps blushing while looking at the good-looking winter spirit.
"Will yah all stop?" Jack said furiously. Bunnymund can't say any tease to the young guardian's appearance. He just stood there with his arms crossed while staring at the winter spirit.
"What's with the hair mate?" The Easter Bunny asked serenely.
"I just met my girlfriend's parents so (F/n) did some… arrangements." The young guardian said while looking at the man in the red suit circling him.
The Tooth fairy and her forms as well, got mad in the inside upon hearing what Jack called you. Her face became red because of anger but she tries to put herself together.
The Easter Bunny blinked a couple of times when he heard the winter spirit's explanation and looked at him from head to foot, "(F/n) is pretty stylish." Bunnymund said with a gri

"Of course, of course!" he said joyfully and looked at you. "That's easy… but…" he said and grinned peculiarly at you, "I need something in return…" he added.
"What's your price?" you asked.
He slowly crouched down and touched your cheeks. You shook your head and the Nightmare King backed away from you.
"Give me the light left in you." he said coldly.
You widened your eyes and looked at your left hand and to your right hand after. You glanced at the Nightmare King who's waiting for your answer.

Jack Frost opened his eyes and breathed deeply. His fellow guardians quickly went to him and felt relieved that he already woken up. The Easter Bunny looked outside and noticed that the winter storm is gone.
"Jack…" north said whispered, "Are you alright my boy?" he asked thoughtfully with his strong Russian accent.
"Wha- what happened?" Jack asked and felt a little tired. "Where's (F/n)?" He added.
His fellow guardians looked at each other and the winter spirit that his room is a mess like something happened. The young guardian looked at North and raised his brow.
"Where is she?" he asked again. "And what happened in here?"
North breathed deeply and sat on his bed and stared at the worried winter spirit. "She… she went to Pitch." He said with a low voice.

You hurriedly went back home after class to prepare your parents' arrival. You saw Jaime on the way back and waved at the sweet young boy. When you got home, you saw Jack in the living room reading some magazines.
You closed the door and walked you the busy young guardian. He didn't notice that you're already there. You peeked at what he's reading and you saw that it's about being normal. You giggled and the winter spirit jumped. He looked at you with a mad face and went back to reading.
"I'm sorry…" you said with a grin. You brushed his new brown coloured hair and kissed his head before changing.
While changing, your phone rang and saw your mom calling. You looked at the time and it's already five in the afternoon, the time when the plane of your parents will land.

While looking at the photos of your childhood with you parents in your room, the young guardian knocked and entered you room. He saw you grinning at the photos as you flipped the pages from one to the other. Jack sat beside you and put his arm around your shoulder and stared at your smiling, yet somehow lonely, face.
"I thought you want to be with me?" Jack asked cordially after he kissed your cheek. You held his hands and used the other one to turn the page.
"I want to Jack…" you said with a low voice and laughed when you saw a funny picture from your album. "I'm just worried about my parents." You added.
